Community Care Behavioral Health Organization, Pittsburgh Pa
Senior Programmer 1998-Present
- Member of the team that designed and implemented the infrastructure and programs for the nation’s first behavioral health managed care organization for Medicaid recipients
- Designed, implemented and maintained various applications for compliance with Pennsylvania State regulatory departments. These include financial, member population and program utilization reports. The applications generally access data from a SQL server through a python, Delphi or C# front end
- Maintenance and upgrades of server software and applications such as Apache and PHP for web servers and web server applications
- Design, implementation and maintenance of finance reporting application that simplifies the creation of state required fiscal reports. The application retrieves data from a MS SQL database and Oracle database. It populates Excel spreadsheets as well as creates a flat text file by reading the information in the Excel spreadsheets and formatting it to state specifications. The front end is currently written in C# and accesses the databases using ADO
- Creation, implementation and maintenance of company static web site in conjunction with outside contractor
- Design, implementation and maintenance of web application to allow provider to submit and review authorizations of care from members. The application was designed as a Java and JRUN application then redesigned in Delphi using IntraWeb and ADO. Ultimately rewrote the entire web application in PHP 5 and the Qcodo framework. The application enters and retrieves data from a MS SQL database in real time. All stored procedures for the application are ANSI standard SQL. Currently there are 500 to 1000 authorizations daily. As part of the maintaince of this application, I must pass a yearly UPMC security audit and purchase the SSL license
